OUR HIGHEST MISSION IS TO BUILD THE TRUE REPUBLIC FOR VIETNAM
SO, WHAT IS THE TRUE REPUBLIC?
A Republic is a form of government in which power belongs to the people, and the government is run by representatives elected by the citizens.
A true Republic must ensure democracy, the rule of law, the protection of individual freedoms, transparent accountability, and a system of checks and balances to prevent dictatorship.
From ancient Rome to modern democracies, the Republic has gone through various stages of development, becoming a political model adopted by many nations worldwide.
True Republics
Some countries have successfully built and maintained the true Republic, where democratic principles are guaranteed and sustainably implemented, such as the United States, France, Germany, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Taiwan, etc.
These Republics share core principles:
– Representative democracy, where the government is formed through free and transparent elections.
– Rule of law, ensuring that all citizens and government institutions adhere to the constitution and legal system.
– Separation of powers and checks and balances, preventing the abuse of power through a structured division of authority.
– Protection of individual freedoms, including freedom of expression, press, belief, religion, and association.
– Accountability, requiring the government to be transparent and responsible to the people.
These principles help maintain the development of the country and protect the rights of the people in a civilized society.
Deceptive Republics
On the other hand, some countries claim to be “Republics” but are actually just authoritarian regimes in disguise, where power is concentrated in a small group rather than belonging to the people:
– Some so-called “Republics” are, in fact, family-run dictatorships with no free elections and little or no protection of civil rights.
– Some nations declare themselves “Republics” but place supreme power in the hands of religious leaders, depriving citizens of true democracy and legitimate freedoms.
– Others call themselves Republics but operate under a single-party rule, where the ruling party controls all media, suppresses opposition, and manipulates elections.
The common characteristic of these deceptive Republics is that they maintain a centralized political model without true democratic mechanisms.
Why Do We Choose to Build the true Republic?
RPV firmly believes that only the true Republic can ensure a civilized and prosperous Vietnam. We choose this path to:
1. Ensure People’s Sovereignty: The true Republic places power in the hands of the people, not an exclusive ruling group. Citizens have the right to elect representatives to govern on their behalf, ensuring that the government reflects the will and aspirations of the people.
2. Ensure the Rule of Law: The state must operate based on laws, with no exceptions or privileges for any individual or organization. Along with that is an independent judicial system to uphold the integrity of the legal system.
3. Protect Human Rights and Individual Freedoms: No Republic is true without the freedoms of expression, press, assembly and association.
4. Ensure Government Accountability: Officials and government agencies must be transparent and accountable to the people, and have the obligation to explain their decisions and actions.
5. Checks and Balances to Prevent Dictatorship: The true Republic requires separation of powers, along with a system of checks and balances between the branches of power to prevent power abuse.
Firm in Our Choice
Choosing the true Republic is not just a political decision but a commitment to the future of Vietnam. RPV rejects any “deceptive Republic” where the name of democracy exist only as a cover for authoritarian rule. Only the reue Republic can protect the interests of Vietnamese, build a civilized society, and integrate Vietnam into the global community.
RPV is committed to pursuing the true Republic grounded in 5 core principles: representative democracy, rule of law, individual freedom, accountability, and checks and balances. By doing so, we will create a transparent business environment with optimal policies, attract investment, and drive rapid economic growth. This is the right path to building a prosperous, civilized, and sustainable Vietnam.
